Hello! I have thought about writing a blog post 500 times and have failed to sit and write it! Time is a precious commodity around here.
We are in full summer-prep mode! We are down to the final week of school for both girls. Kendall's graduation is 5/19 and then it's SUMMER break! We do have several weeks of camp lined up, so the girls will have a mixture of structure, pool, and relax-at-home time. I really love pool days, so I can't wait for that to be a daily routine.
I have planned a couple of short beach trips, and planning a bigger Anniversary trip for my husband and I. Looking forward to that!! Overall, summer looks fun and I look forward to sweating in the garage with you as well :)
For those of you that have kids, what are your favorite things to do with them? We are going to checkout some Splash Pads this summer--last year everything was super weird and I didn't venture out of our neighborhood pool.
I have been running alot. This weather makes it easy--and I have been super motivated to get some miles in. Early planning for the Charlotte Half in November. If you are a runner and haven't run that race--it's a good one. There is alot of support and cheerleaders. I liked the course and it just felt like a fun morning. I ran this race in 2019 with 30 mile per hour wind gusts (and I was inappropriately dressed for the weather), and I still really enjoyed it. You won't ever catch me running a full marathon, though. HALF is the way to go my friends :).
People always ask me questions that go like this....."so, how's it going on zoom? Are people still interested in virtual classes". To answer this question--things are going really well on Zoom. So many of us have additional factors in our lives that make the commute to a studio at a certain time impossible. To be honest, we were already seeing this trend at Flywheel when it was closing. Our numbers were WAY down in certain slots. It was next to impossible to get someone to attend an 8:30am class or a 5:30pm class. WHY? That is a VERY hard time to workout for most people. I will continue offering Zoom classes for the foreseeable future b/c it is accessible to ALL! That is so important to me.
